A week ago, The Advocate released their new interview with Carrie Fisher in which she “outed” John Travolta. Except not really – in an interview last year, Carrie had made a crack about Travolta being gay and how women don’t care, and when asked about it by The Advocate, she said:
I mean, my feeling about John has always been that we know and we don’t care. Look, I’m sorry that he’s uncomfortable with it, and that’s all I can say. It only draws more attention to it when you make that kind of legal fuss. Just leave it be.
This just seemed to confirm that it’s been an “open secret” in Hollywood that Travolta loves to be banged by young, lithe, dark, swarthy men in bathhouses from here to Mongolia. Anyway, The Enquirer – the publication who “wins” the most “Travolta is gay” covers for the year – has jumped on Carrie’s comments, and takes the whole thing to the logical conclusion:
A furious JOHN TRAVOLTA is lashing out at pal CARRIE FISHER for publicly announcing he should admit being gay! The 56-year-old actor – who became a dad again only a few weeks ago – was devastated when old friend Carrie recently spoke about his sexual orientation to the gay mag The Advocate.
“Wow, I mean my feeling about John has always been that we know and we don’t care,” she said. “Look, I’m sorry that he’s uncomfortable with it, and that’s ALL I can say.”
But as far as John is concerned, that was already far too much.
“We’ve been friends for years – why would she come out and say that?” an angry Travolta told a friend. “Why didn’t she just stay OUT of it?!”
But Carrie has a shocking ally – John’s 48 year old wife Kelly Preston, who gave birth to their adorable son Benjamin on November 23.
“A distraught Kelly is begging him, ‘John just tell me the truth,’” revealed a pal of the star. “Having another child was their way of holding their marriage together after the tragedy… but now these revelations from Carrie have brought back her worst fears, so she’s begging John to tell her once and for all whether he’s gay or not. John has always worried that coming out would affect his image and cost him parts.”
The mounting pressure on Travolta to tell all about his sexuality could destroy his family’s joy. Confided the star’s pal: “Privately, he’s been telling friends he’s going to leave it to people to believe what they want to believe.”

Yes, it’s very convenient for The Enquirer’s source to say that Travolta probably won’t do anything about the rumors. Because that’s probably exactly what he’ll do. Remember, when Gawker published their graphic interview with Robert Randolph about Travolta’s gay bathhouse hijinks, Travolta didn’t even sue. He barely even threatened to sue. His lawyers sent something to Gawker, and that was the end of it.
Oh, and raise your hand if you think that Kelly Preston doesn’t know exactly who John Travolta is and what and who he does in his spare time. But people should leave her alone – she had such a rough time lugging around that pillow for months.
